St. Lawrence University field hockey goalkeeper has been named Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week for the period ending October 19 after backstopping the Saints to a big victory on Sunday.
Walsh, a native of Lincoln, R.I., Walsh finished with 10 saves in the cage, anchoring a disciplined defensive effort that held the Garnet Chargers scoreless over the final 56 minutes of their contest against the Saints. The effort helped the Scarlet and Brown to their first conference win of 2025.
The Saints have another week of games scheduled, as they hit the road and travel to Vassar on Saturday, October 25, then finish the season with a game against Cortland.
