Senior
Emma Strack is headed to the 2025 FIS Nordic Junior/U23 Cross-Country World Ski Championships in Schilpario, Italy.
Strack, who departs the North Country later this week will start the trip with a short training camp in Seefeld, Austria before heading to Schilpario.
"It is great to see Emma achieve this goal for the season," said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "It is a really high bar and she had to execute in the 20K at US Nationals, which put her tied for the final spot going into the freestyle sprint on the last day. She really came through in the quarterfinals to move up in the field and take that final spot. Emma has a remarkable ability to perform at her best under a lot of pressure. We will definitely take a hit on the team score at the Saint Michael's Carnival, but we are truly proud of her accomplishments."
Strack is scheduled to race in the classic sprint on February 4 and the classic mass-start 20K on February 6.
She will then fly back and will rejoin the team for the Middlebury Carnival on February 14-15 in Ripton, Vt.
