The St. Lawrence University men's track and field team delivered strong performances at the Utica Winter Opener on Saturday, highlighted by multiple top finishes.
Nick Lyndaker headlined the meet, claiming first place in the mile run with an impressive time of 4:15.01, showcasing his dominance in the distance events.
Timothy Boyce also secured a win, crossing the line first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.94, while
Peter Stubler delivered a solid performance in the same event, finishing fourth in 1:59.34.
In the relay events, the Saints' 4x400-meter relay team of Lyndaker, Boyce,
Dylan Keating, and
Kristofer Mellor earned a strong second-place finish with a time of 3:31.56. The 4x200-meter relay squad of
Trystan Biller,
Caleb Young,
Bodie Molnar, and
Shemir Bridges followed up with a third-place finish, clocking in at 1:32.97
.
In the field events,
Brendan O'Horo cleared 3.85 meters in the pole vault to secure sixth place.
The Saints will look to build on this momentum as they continue their indoor season with the St. Lawrence Invitational, coming on Saturday, January 25.
