The St. Lawrence University men's track and field team returned from the holiday break at the Middlebury Snowflake Invitational, securing top finishes across multiple events and placing second overall as a team on Saturday in Middlebury, Vt.
Nick Lyndaker led the Saints with a commanding win in the 1000-meter run, crossing the line at 2:30.46.
Timothy Boyce followed closely in second place with a time of 2:32.64, giving the Saints a one-two finish in the event.
The Saints' 4x400-meter relay team of
Kristofer Mellor,
Bodie Molnar, Boyce, and
Dylan Keating capped off the day with a first-place finish, clocking a time of 3:30.45.
In the sprints,
Bodie Molnar placed third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.16, while
Trystan Biller also posted a strong result with a fourth-place finish at 7.20.
Caleb Young excelled in the 200-meter and 400-meter events, taking second in the 200 with a time of 23.01 and third in the 400 at 51.60.
Cyrus Goetze and
Kristofer Mellor delivered strong performances in the 600-meter run, finishing second (1:27.73) and third (1:28.26), respectively.
Griffin Roeder added a third-place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:31.62.
In the field events,
Erik Schneider earned third place in the weight throw with a mark of 13.55 meters, while
Brendan O'Horo claimed third in the pole vault, clearing 3.95 meters.
The Saints return to action next weekend, looking to build on their success from this weekend's invitational.
