Colton Martin placed 35th and
Emma Strack finished 37th to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team on day one of the Middlebury Carnival/NCAA Eastern Regionals on Friday afternoon at the Rikert Touring Center in Ripton, Vt.
Martin finished the men's 7.5-kilometer skate with a time of 22:54.0, leading the Scarlet and Brown.
Trevor Aitken and
Lucas Jenkin also scored for the Saints, placing 40th and 46th, respectively.
Strack led the women's team with a time of 27:42.6, good for 37th, while
Lilli Thomas placed 48th and
Samantha Legate finished 55th to also score for the Saints.
The men's squad finished the day in 10th place, while the women's team finished in 11th. Dartmouth's men took first after day one, while UVM's women placed first.
