Overwatch vs. Ohio Wesleyan University - February 8
Map 1: We started the game off on Oasis - a best-of-three king-of-the-hill map. Ohio took the first swing with their Sigma Rush, taking point one. The Saints returned fire on round two with a Ram Rush dominating the competition. Point three was a drawn out series of team fights that Ohio's Sig Poke was able to sustain, giving OWU a 2-1 victory on Oasis.Â
Map 2: Circuit Royale. The Saints started out on offense for this payload-pushing game mode. The map finished with a score of 3-2 and an overall series lead of 2-0 against the Saints in this best of five. Â
Map 3: The third game took us to New Junk City. A best-of-five king-of-the-hill game mode with no breaks between points. The Saints returned to a Ram rush against Ohio's shifting composition. However, Ohio's endurance secured them the finish line with a 3-1 victory over the Saints- giving them a 3-0 defeat of St. Lawrence. Coach SIX (Gabriel Sickler) has this to say: "Today's score did not represent the effort & performance of the Saints. Each map was a nail-biter that was drawn to dramatic fireworks".Â
