St. Lawrence Varsity Esports Week Four Recap

St. Lawrence Esports finished off a rocky week four, as multiple titles faced numerous challenges as we head towards the mid-season of our spring stint.

Saints Valorant started the week off Monday, dropping the first map in overtime 16-14 to Pace University, before rebounding on Pearl and Split to win their match 2-1. Sophomore, Adam Lee, led the team with 64 kills and numerous clutches to help win the game decider 13-9. Saints Valorant now moves up to the second seed in their region with an extra match this week, Friday at 7 p.m., against Queens University.

Saints Smash Bros 'A' fought valiantly against Mount Union, but ultimately lost the best-of-three series 2-1, after taking game one. Super Smash Bros 'B' added another tally to bring their seasonal record to 2-2, as they go face to face against the top seed, Marywood University, Tuesday evening at 8 p.m.

Saints Rocket League continues to face an uphill battle, losing 4-0 against Champlain College. Saints Rocket League sits in the highest NECC division among all Saints Esports titles and continues to display grit and determination in the midst of some very tough opponents.

Last but not least, Saints Overwatch lost 3-0 and 3-1 Friday evening in two hard fought matches against Champlain College and the University of Florida, respectively. Saints Overwatch has it's sights set on Ramapo College this upcoming Friday to maintain playoff eligibility.
