Lewis Anderson was the story of the day for the No. 22 St. Lawrence University men's squash team securing his record-breaking 63
rd career win in the Saints' 7-2 loss at the No. 17-ranked Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. On Sunday afternoon.
St. Lawrence fell to 0-1-0 with the loss, while the Midshipmen moved to 9-1.
Anderson, who entered the matchup tied with Moustafa Bayoumy '18 for career wins with 62, took on Matthew Wang in the number one spot for the Scarlet and Brown. The senior wasted little time breaking the record defeating his opponent 11-4, 11-3, 11-7.
Anderson now holds a 63-8 career record and will look to set a tough-to-catch win total the rest of the way. His .887 career winning percentage trails only Amr Khalifa '16, who won at a .902 clip in his St. Lawrence career.
The Saints earned a second victory in the eighth spot which was occupied by
Athrva Yadav, who defeated Michael Tierney Jr. 11-9, 11-7, 11-7.
St. Lawrence found itself close to two more wins at number three and nine where the match went down to five games.
Alexander Scott took on Alexander Orr at number three and went down 2-1 early. Scott won the fourth game 11-8 to tie up the match but fell 11-3 in the fifth to Navy's Orr.

Dean Brooker took a 2-1 lead over Hudson Poirer winning the first and third games 11-6, and 11-8. Tierney Jr. won the final two 11-6 to take the 3-2 win.
St. Lawrence will be back on the court on the weekend of December 7-9 when the Saints head to Rochester to take on Penn, Rochester, and Western in consecutive days.
