DANBURY, Conn. - ECAC Hockey announced today that Wednesday's women's non-conference matchup between St. Lawrence University and Clarkson University will be broadcast live regionally on SportsNet New York (SNY). This announcement follows a previous announcement of the league regarding a selection of men's and women's hockey events that will air on SNY during the 2024-25 season.
Puck drop at Appleton Arena is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. as part of a planned Field Trip Day that will bring over 3,000 local school kids to the arena for the game.
Previous ECAC Hockey regional broadcasts included Cornell men hosting North Dakota on SNY and Princeton men hosting Dartmouth on both SNY and NBC Sports Philly+. There will be an additional selection of games announced in the coming months.
"We are thrilled to give our alumni and fans the opportunity to follow their teams on SNY," said ECAC Hockey Commissioner Doug Christiansen. "ECAC Hockey has three of the last eleven National Champions for both men and women and we want to showcase the talent across our league. These broadcasts are designed to help recruits see our league and venues while connecting with fans throughout our footprint. Anecdotally, I love the idea of an alum at a New York City restaurant watching their school play and thinking about the great memories they had as a student going to the games."
