King Ties for 40th at Dr. Tim Brown Invitational

Jimmy King tied for 40th to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore at the par-71 Ballston Spa Country Club on Sunday.

In a field of 108 golfers, King shot a 72, just one over par, on day one and shot a 77 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 40th place with a 149 on the weekend. Ben Scholes dropped four strokes off his round-one score of 77 and hit a 73 on day two of the tournament, finishing the weekend in a tie for 50th with a 150.

Cooper Evans tied for 64th with a 152, while Wesley Bevins and Sam Lyman tied for 74th, both shooting a 155 on the weekend.

St. Lawrence placed 11th out of 19 teams on the weekend with a combined 603 (298, 305). Trinity College took home the team title with a 564, while the Bantams Nicholas Li claimed the individual title shooting seven under par for a 135.
