Cooper Evans shot two over par and is tied for fifth after round one to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team on day one of the FSC Spring Invitational at the par-70 Bethpage State Park – Red Course on Saturday afternoon.

Evans shot a 72 in round one to tie for fifth place, while Ben Scholes is tied for 14th with a 74.

Jimmy King and Sam Lyman tied for 32nd after both shooting a 78, while Wes Bevins tied for 40th with an 80.

After round one, RPI sits in first place with a combined 290, while NYU sits in second with a 293 and Farmingdale State sits in third with a 297. The Saints closed round one in sixth place with a 302.
