Rocket League vs. East Stroudsburg University – October 27
Rocket League was looking to end the Esports loss streak through this close in seed match up. The team was able to take two games from East Stroudsburg. However, East Stroudsburg was able to win the series by winning three matches and closing the series out. The series was close throughout and Rocket League is optimistic going forward.
Valorant vs. Cornell – October 30
The Valorant team had high hopes after the time and preparation they put into preparing for the game. The series went to game three after two close games and each team took one game. Cornell was able to sneak out a win by a narrow margin against the Saints. However, the series was close, and the Saints are looking to bring the knowledge learned from this match to win the next.
League of Legends vs. Pace University – November 1
Pace was the higher seed going into this match and it was going to be a tough match-up. The League of Legends team practiced their drafting and communication. There was a clear improvement from last week's match, however, the team fell short and lost 0-2 to Pace.
Rocket League vs. Bryant University – November 3
Bryant has had a successful season thus far and the Saints were hoping to stop them. The Bryant roster was tough, and the Saints struggled to keep up with their momentum. Bryant was able to close out the series 3-0 against the Saints. The Saints look to review the game and learn from their mistakes so they can bring that knowledge forward to next week's match.
Valorant vs. Post University – November 6
Valorant was excited for their last match and looked to beat Post to earn their playoff spot. This series also went to game three. The Saints looking back were unhappy with their map selection for the final game. Post was able to win game three as the Saints struggled to find their footing to close out the series. Valorant did not make it to playoffs but is hard at work during the off-season to come back better next semester.
Super Smash Bros vs. Pace University – November 7
Pace on paper is a good Super Smash Bros team and the Saints knew they were in for a challenge. The team tried to take a game from Pace during the series. However, the team was unable to do so, and the game finished 0-2 with Pace winning. This match officially eliminates Super Smash Bros. From qualifying for playoffs. The team remains optimistic as they bring in some new talent and work on improving the team for next semester.
Rocket League vs. Ithaca – November 10
Rocket League has had close series throughout the season but struggled when closing the series out. This match unfortunately was the same case with the Saints losing 3-1. Ithaca was able to eliminate the Saints from making the playoffs. The team is looking to change some things to hopefully build additional team chemistry and come back stronger next semester.
League of Legends vs. Northern Virginia Community College – November 10
League of Legends was playing for their playoff spot this week. Whichever team won would take the final playoff spot and send the other team packing. The League of Legends team moved some roles around to best prepare for the match. The team started the series off strong during the early game but were unable to keep the momentum going late. The Saints lost 2-0 and were eliminated from the playoff run. The team looks forward to the addition of some new talent and looks forward to working hard this off-season for next season.
