Box Score Sophomores Broderick Pinto, John Hill-Edgar, and Edvin Strandberg all came away with wins as the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team wrapped up the St. Lawrence University Fall Classic on Sunday at the Sammis Tennis Courts and the Newell Field House.

In the C flight singles, Pinto continued his great play defeating Dimitris Binopoulos of Union 8-5 to advance to the flight final. In the final, the sophomore was faced with Nicolas Gritz of Hamilton and came away with an 8-6 win to win the flight.

In the B flight doubles, Strandberg and Hill-Edgar advanced to the flight final with an 8-3 semifinals win against Brian Wang and Mark Apsey of Hamilton College. In the final, against Nicholas Luis and Jimin Woo, the duo of Strandberg and Hill-Edgar battled to a tight 8-7 (7-4) win to claim the flight.

Cole Hamilton also reached the flight finals in the D flight after defeating Rochester's Alex Kulvivat 8-5. Hamilton would fall in the finals to Gianni Esposito.

Pinto also earned a win later on in the A flight doubles consolation bracket. Pinto and Adam Heilbronner advanced to the consolation final with an 8-6 win over Connor Griff and Neal Gupta. Then in the final, the tandem took down Ben Jacobs and Aidan O'Brien to claim the consolation flight.

The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action next weekend as the team travels to Schenectady, N.Y. to take part in the Dutchmen Invitational.
