Prior to St. Lawrence
Turtledove was a Missouri High School state doubles champion in 2019 and doubles state runner-up in 2017. He helped his Pembroke team to a state championships in 2017, second place in 2016 and back-to-back third-place finishes in 2018 and 2019. Turtledove captained his high school team and was an honor roll student. For his academy, Kansas City United Tennis (KCUT), he earned the 2017 USTA Heart of America District Volunteer of the Year, and was named to the National Junior Leadership Team in 2018. He is also the recipient of the USTA Heart of America District Jr. Sportsmanship Award and the Missouri Valley Section Jr. Sportsmanship Award. He volunteers with the Stephanie Waterman Foundation and is a USTA Official.
