Sophomore
Ben Scholes tied for 12th place to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team at the competitive 38th-annual Duke Nelson Invitational at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury, Vt. this weekend.
Scholes finished day one in a tie for sixth place with a 73. He shot a 75 in round two to tie for 12th and finish the weekend with a 148.
Jimmy King tied for 33rd overall, shooting a 75 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday, to finish the weekend with a 153.
Sam Lyman finished in a tie for 52nd with a 155, while
Cooper Evans tied for 62nd with a 158 and
Wes Bevins tied for 107th with a 167 on the weekend.
The Saints finished the tournament in 11th place with a combined 613 on the weekend, finishing four strokes ahead of Springfield College. RPI won the team title with a combined 590, while Hamilton's Ramon Aroca Gonzalez finished the weekend two under par for the individual title.
