Emma Palumbo capped off her rookie season by competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Track & Field Championship Meet.
Palumbo finished eighth in the second heat of the steeplechase, and 15
th overall. Palumbo was seeded 11
th going into the meet, with a seed time of 10:53.49 she ran at the AARTFC Meet in Bethlehem, Penn.

Kate Howard," and the way she has represented St. Lawrence and our program in such tremendous fashion on the regional and national stage."
Palumbo finished her first-year finishing on the podium three times in both the indoor and outdoor Liberty League championships, including a win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and a ninth place finish at the Cross Country championship meet.
"From winning an individual conference title to qualifying for the NCAA Championships this season, Emma has established herself as an elite level competitor through her hard work and dedication as well as her true grit in high level competitions. We're celebrating Emma for everything she accomplished this season and we are looking forward to an extremely bright future for her."
The national championship meet, which is held in Geneva, Ohio, will continue through Saturday.
