First-year
Timothy Boyce won the 800 and broke the school record to lead the men's St. Lawrence track & field team on day two of the Atlantic Regional meet on Thursday afternoon hosted by Moravian University.
Boyce came through the first split in sixth place, and moved up in the second lap to take the win in 1:50.76 to break the school record that was set in 1986. He currently sits 16
th on the division III performance list.
Jackson Hamilton ran a season's best 3:57.31 in the 1,500 meters. He won his heat and finished 11
th overall. Boyce and Hamilton doubled back to run the 4x800-meter relay along with
Michael Skutt and
Matt Abell. The quartet finished in 8:20.91 to take seventh in their heat.
In the 110-meter hurdle finals
Erik Geier took seventh in 15.81 seconds.
On the final day of the decathlon,
Connor Lambert moved up to fourth place. He won the javelin with a 53.91-meter throw, and took second in the discus with a 34.26-meter throw.
The NCAA will announce the field for the 2022 outdoor track & field championship meet on May 20
th.
