A group of St. Lawrence women's track & field team competed at the competitive Bison Invitational hosted by Bucknell College on Friday afternoon in Lewisburg, Penn.
Alli Sibold led through the first half of her heat in the 1,500 meters before falling back to eighth place. She passed four in the final lap to take fourth in her heat in 4:46.67, a personal best and the quickest time a Saint has run this season.
Billie McClosky ran a personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She finished in 11:50.29 to shave over two seconds off of her previous best she set in early April.
Emma Palumbo ran in the next heat and finished in 11:28.62.
Olivia Bernier broke 19 minutes in the 5,000-meter race for the first time. Her 18:57.05 also qualified her for the league championships.
Katherine Sheehy ran her debut 10,000-meter race and finished in 39:57.87 to hit both the regional and league standard, that is the second best time in the league this season as of publication.
The Saints next compete at the Cortland Upstate Alternative meet on April 16
th.
