After a postponement to last weekend's carnival, the St. Lawrence University Alpine ski team hit the slopes at the Dartmouth College Carnival on Friday afternoon at the Dartmouth Skiway in Hanover, N.H.

Ava Mattsson led the way with a 22nd-place finish in the women's slalom with a two-run time of one minute and 38.01 seconds to earn 23 EISA points and nine NCAA points. Bella Amico and Paige Doyle finished 37th and 43rd, respectively.

Aidan Marler led the men's squad with a 31st-place finish in the slalom with a two-run time of 1:46.74. Mitchell Sampson and Brian Seltzer finished 34th and 36th, respectively and Jake Reynolds finished 39th, as four of the Saints all posted top-40 finishes for the Scarlet and Brown.

"We had a bit of a better day today," said head coach Willi Steinrotter. "Tommy Kenosh had a good first run and then had a mistake second run, but is getting it dialed in. Aidan Marler had a very good result today and the guys really are starting to pick up the pace, and I am looking forward to the rest of the season. Ava Mattsson had a great result today, and is also getting up to speed and I am excited about another chance at slalom tomorrow!"
