Kathleen Merchant won both the shot and weight throws, as the St. Lawrence University women's track & field team finished third out of seven teams at the Middlebury Invitational.

Kathleen's sister Kimberly Merchant took second in weight and third in shot to score 14 points for St. Lawrence

Maia Wahlquist won her third high jump in as many weeks, raising her season's best to 1.62 meters, which is the 21^st best in the country.

Alli Sibold was the top Division III finisher in the mile, her time of 5:22.39 was only bested by a trio of runners from the University of Vermont.

Other highlights from the Saints include Emma Palumbo's 1,000 meter second place performance, and Katherine Sheehy's fourth place finish in the 3,000 meter. Sheehy's time ranks second in the Liberty League this season.

Hosts Middlebury took the win with 229 points, and Vermont came in second with 217.
