The St. Lawrence women's track & field team won four track events, both throwing events, and the high jump on their way to winning their home St. Lawrence Invitational. The Saints finished with 111 points, a head of Plattsburgh's 88 and Potsdam's 13.
Alli Sibold won the mile in a well-paced 5:16.09. Her first half mile and second half mile were nearly identical. Her time is the 24
th best performance in Division III so far this season.
Emma Palumbo took the win in the 800 meters in 2:28.23, and
Sarah Churchill took runner-up in 2:44.75.
Adeline Moore won her debut 3,000 meter race in 11:32.56.
Kimberly Merchant and
Kathleen Merchant swept the top two spots in both throwing events. Kimberly won the shot with a best throw of 11.24 meters, and Kathleen won the weight with a throw of 13.27 meters.
Maia Wahlquist won the high jump for the second consecutive week when she cleared a season best 1.61 meters. That is the second best mark in the conference this season.
The Saints next compete at Middlebury College on January 29
th, starting at 10 a.m.
