Kathleen Merchant broke her own school record in the discus by 25 centimeters to win the event and added wins in the javelin and shot put to lead the St. Lawrence University women's outdoor track and field team to a win at the four-team St. Lawrence University Intercollegiate Athletics Meeting on Saturday afternoon at Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex.

With the win, the Saints finished the year unbeaten in five meets on their home track.

Merchant hit the record-setting mark on her second throw in the discus, posting a 39.81-meter throw to beat the field by more than four meters. She won the shot put by nearly a meter with a mark of 12.10 meters, and also won the javelin by more than six meters with a distance of 35.49 meters.

Isabel Caprood was also a multi-event winner for the Saints, breaking 16 seconds for the first time in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.96, and adding a win in the 100 with a time of 13.36, also a personal best, though wind-aided.

Alli Sibold qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championship in the 1,500, winning the race in 4:50.27.
Lucia D'Acchille (long jump),
Olivia Middleton (long jump) and
Olivia Watson (5,000) also won events for the Saints.

St. Lawrence won the meet with 190 points. Plattsburgh State was second with 163, SUNY Potsdam was third with 31 and Utica College finished fourth with 17.
