The St. Lawrence University Overwatch team rebounded from a loss on Monday night by dominating Arcadia University 3-0 in an ECAC match that took just 32 minutes on Wednesday night.

The Saints made quick work of the control point map at Lijang Tower to start. St. Lawrence took an aggressive stance early on capturing the first two points with ease. On the second point, the Saints had captured 87 percent of the control point and quickly regained control after the Scarlet Knights managed 14 percent.

Gavin Prescott (Hardvark) earned Play of the Game honors during that round.



The second point was contested on the Gibraltar payload map. With the Saints opening on defense, the Scarlet and Brown took the high ground. Arcadia University only managed to travel 45.03 meters by the end of the four minutes. The Saints captured the second point of the match in just 33 seconds. Jason Angelos (neonJason) earned Play of the Game on the Gibraltar map.

The final point was contested on the Hanamura assault map, where the Saints opened on defense once again. St. Lawrence was able to hold the Arcadia University at bay and the Scarlet Knights were unable to gain any ground within the four minute time frame. All the Saints needed to claim the match was one tick and with some good eliminations and a quick change to the plan of attack, the Saints claimed the win and the third control point in less than two minutes.

"Total show of force by the team tonight," said Saints' Overwatch coach Kyle Jicha. "Great communication and execution. Props to Arcadia for maintaining a positive attitude throughout a tough match." 

With the win, St. Lawrence improved to 5-3 overall and the Saints will return to NACE play taking on Randolph-Macon College tomorrow night at 8 p.m
