The St. Lawrence University men's rowing team competed in their third weekend of competition at the Liberty League Championships hosted by Union in Saratoga Springs, New York, Friday afternoon.
The men's second varsity eight boat finished second with a time of seven minutes and 16.938 seconds, behind Hobart (6:59.370), but ahead of RIT (7:17.860), Union (7:32.312) and University of Rochester (7:43.391).
The novice eight boat also placed second in 7:16.607, trailing RIT – Boat A (6:54.500), but ahead of RIT Boat B (7:20.014) by just over three seconds.
Skidmore led the varsity four category with a time of 7:30.700, followed by St. John Fisher in 7:40.968 in second, St. Lawrence in third with a time of 8:24.152 and Skidmore's Boat B in fourth in 8:41.193.
The University of Rochester took home first in the men's novice four category with a time of 8:15.600, followed by Skidmore in second in 8:19.086, while the Saints placed third, recording a time of 8:20.315, only 4.715 seconds behind the Yellowjackets.
The varsity eight boat finished in fifth-place completing the course in 7:11.267 about 31.5 seconds behind first-place Hobart (6:39.690), then RIT (6:47.262), Union (6:58.446) and the University of Rochester (7:00.090).
