Senior rower Paul Champagne earned a spot on the IRCA Division III Heavyweight Rowing Watch List, as announced on Tuesday.

Champagne, who earned Second-Team All-Liberty League honors last season, helped lead the Saints Varsity 8 in three races this past fall at the Head of the Rideau, the Head of the Genesee and the Head of the Fish.

Eighty-two athletes from D1/D2, D3, and lightweight rowing were selected to this year's list based on a combination of character, performance, achievements, leadership, and day-to-day team contributions. The depth and breadth of men's rowing is well represented too, with emerging talent from fast-rising teams being featured alongside multiple U23 Worlds, Senior Worlds, and Henley Royal Regatta participants.

The Saints' spring season gets underway with the New York State Championships on April 18.
