The St. Lawrence University men's rowing team opened the fall portion of their schedule at the Head of the Rideau at Mooney's Bay Beach in Ottawa, Ontario on Sunday.

The Saints raced three boats on Sunday – a Varsity 4, a Novice 4, and a Varsity 8.

The men's Novice 4 coxed by Gerard Bottini cruised to a first-place finish on the short course with a time of 15:12.422, besting the next team by over a minute.

The Varsity 4 coxed by Cody Vassar recorded a third-place finish in 22:09.109, while the Varsity 8 also coxed by Bottini placed fourth in 21:19.684.

St. Lawrence will travel to the Head of the Genesee in Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday, October 10.
