After winning its 16th-straight Regional Championship, the St. Lawrence University Riding team hosted IHSA Zone 2 Regionals on Wednesday, April 1 at the Elsa Gunnison Appleton Riding Hall.
After a wonderful showing, the Saints took home seven wins out of seven classes and nine Saints qualified for Zones.

Lauren Trexler,
Annie Kammer,
Fiona Malcarney,
Scarlett Haas,
Sophia Korovin,
Mattie Porter, and
Sophia Wirtz will all advance to Zones this weekend.
Eben Dorr and
Cate Weis also competed for the Scarlet and Brown at regionals in the Novice and Limit Flat classes, respectively.
Eskey was named the Regional Champion in both Open Fences and Open Flat. The top two riders in each class advance to Zones, as Trexler, Kammer, Malcarney, and Korovin were all named Regional Champions and Wirtz, Haas and Porter earned Regional Reserve Champion honors.
Midway through the show, the Saints were presented with the regional trophy, and Eskey was awarded the season's High Point Rider trophy.
The Saints face a quick turnaround, as they head to Lehman Farms in Pittsford, N.Y. this Saturday, April 4 for the IHSAÂ Zone 2 Finals.
