The St. Lawrence University women's squash team swept the Liberty League's weekly awards ahead of this week's Liberty League Tournament as
Madeleine Martin was named the Performer of the Week and
Katherine Callaway was named the Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Martin went 2-0 for the Saints over the weekend, helping them to a 2-0 record. Against Dickinson, she took on Victoria Savelius and secured an 8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 12-10 win. On Sunday, she played Hamilton's Diya Dhillon at three and won 11-9, 11-2, 11-5 for her second win of the weekend.
Callaway also had a strong weekend, going 2-0 for the Saints. On Friday, she lined up against Dickinson's Lila Brown and took a 3-0 sweep, 11-3, 11-1, 11-3. On Sunday, she doubled down, beating Hamilton's Sydney Hellinger 11-8, 11-6, 11-8.
St. Lawrence will be back on the court this weekend, hosting the Liberty League Tournament at the Robie Squash Center. The team will be on the hunt for its second consecutive title after winning the championship last season. The Liberty League Tournament will start on Saturday, February 14.
