Former four-year St. Lawrence University football team linebacker Brian Angelichio '95 has been named offensive coordinator by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the National Football League (NFL) franchise announced Thursday.
Angelichio spent the last four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings as the passing game coordinator and tight ends coach. His move to Pittsburgh reunites him with head coach Mike McCarthy, for whom he served as tight ends coach in Green Bay from 2016-2018.
The 2026-27 season will be Angelichio's first as an NFL offensive coordinator, and 16th overall in the NFL coaching ranks. He did previously hold the same OC title at the collegiate level for Ithaca College as part of his nine-year stint in Ithaca, N.Y. from 1996-2005. His professional resume also includes coaching stints with the Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Angelichio got his coaching start in the college ranks following his St. Lawrence career, including stops at Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Ithaca, and began a year after graduating at SUNY Brockport (1995).
Angelichio got his competitve start on the gridiron in the North Country at St. Lawrence. A 1995 graduate, he was a defensive mainstay for the Saints, starting for four years at linebacker.
