Tucker Hall's win in the men's heptathlon shot put highlighted a light opening day of the St. Lawrence Invitational at the Newell Field House on Friday.

Hall took first place in the event with a throw for 9.97 meters, which was the best placement for the Saints on the first portion of the multi, which will continue Saturday morning.

Brogan McGorray recorded three consecutive second-place finishes for the Saints in the hep, recording those placements in the 60-meter dash, the long jump, and the shot put.

St. Lawrence returns to action Saturday for the second day, when the remainder of the events begin at Newell Field House.
