Kassidy Lawrence and senior
Emma-Sofie Nordström have been selected as two of 35 goaltenders added to the Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of the Year "Watch List" for 2026.
Both Lawrence and Nordström have shared time between the pipes for the Saints this season. Both goalies hold a .926 save percentage, while Lawrence holds a 2.21 goals-against average and Nordström holds a 2.40 goals-against average.
The pair are tied for seventh in the ECAC and 24th nationally in save percentage, while Lawrence's goals against is tied for eighth in the league and ranks 25th nationally. Nordström ranks 10th in the ECAC in goals against.
The award was created in 2021 to recognize the top female goalie in NCAA Division I hockey. The goalies to watch come from all five NCAA Division I conferences with 19 from the United States, nine from Canada and seven from Europe (two from Finland and Sweden and one each from Austria, Denmark and Slovenia.)
This initial "Watch List" of outstanding goalies is comprised of those with a goals against average of 2.10 or lower or a save percentage of .920 or higher.
A committee of voters — made up of a cross section of coaches, administrators, and media — will pare this list down within the next two weeks and then ultimately choose the winner, who will be announced in March during the NCAA Frozen Four.
