Boada and Feher Earn Doubles Win on Day Two of the SLU Fall Classic

Box Score First-year Garrett Feher and sophomore Sebastián Boada combined for a doubles win to lead the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team on the final day of the St. Lawrence University Fall Classic at the Sammis Tennis Courts and Newell Field House.

In the consolation B doubles bracket, Feher and Boada advanced to the second round with an 8-6 win yesterday, and followed it up with a win today, defeating Nagatake and Saxe of Union 8-5 to advance to the final. The tandem would ultimately fall in the final match 8-6.

In singles play, Josh David took part in the semifinals of the A bracket, taking on Hobart's Jacob Linares. The first-year saw his run end with an 8-4 loss to the top-seed.

In the D bracket, Preston Mcarthy also took part in the semifinals, taking on RIT's Gabe Escobar. The first-year suffered a similar fate to his classmate, falling 8-5 to close his weekend.

The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action next weekend when the team will head to the Capital region to take part in the Union Invitational on September 20-21.
