The St. Lawrence University men's and women's tennis programs and head coach
Noah Murphy are proud to announce the hiring of
Ezenna Emuka as the assistant coach for both teams ahead of the upcoming season.
Ezenna joins the Scarlet and Brown as a coach after spending last season as a member of the men's tennis program in his fifth year of competition.
"We're excited to welcome Ezenna back to St. Lawrence as the assistant coach for both programs," said Murphy. "As a fifth-year leader last season, he played a pivotal role in our team's success. His strong work ethic, leadership, and passion for the game will be a tremendous asset to our teams moving forward."
Before his time in Canton, he was a four-year member of the men's tennis team at Juniata College. He consistently maintained a strong presence in the classroom, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. Ezenna earned Magna Cum Laude honors and was a six-time Dean's List recipient.
During his time with the Eagles, he was a two-time Landmark Conference All-Sportsmanship Team selection and a three-time Academic Honor Roll honoree. In 2022–23, he was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Across his career, he competed in over 60 matches at Juniata before transferring to St. Lawrence for his fifth year, where he began pursuing his Master of Arts in Leadership.
Ezenna's professional background includes a summer internship with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), where he helped organize national championships and contributed to database development and ranking analysis.
Beyond athletics, Ezenna has demonstrated strong business and project management skills. As Business Development Manager for
Tap Me In, a student-run company, he helped grow the client base significantly across campus and corporate partners. He also led the Juniata Data Hub for Rural Excellence, a community-focused initiative aimed at improving access to health data and sustainable development in rural areas.
