Jimmy King shot five over par on the weekend to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team at the Farmingdale State Invitational at the par-70 Bethpage State Park Golf Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.
King shot two birdies and shot par on 10 holes to end round one with a 74 to tied for 35th place. He shot a 71 in round two and moved up 18 places to tie for 17th with seven other golfers.
Ben Scholes dropped seven strokes off his score from round one to tie for 48th place, moving up 25 spots.
Sam Lyman shot a 76 both days and tied for 57th with a 152. Kevin Dillon finished the weekend with a 153 and tied for 61st, while Gabe Ward dropped eight strokes and finished the weekend in a tie for 76th with a 156.
St. Lawrence shot a combined 306 after round one to and ended round two with a 293, for a combined 599 on the weekend, good for 12th place. RPI took home the team title with a 568.
