Angelica Aksdal-Jansen was named the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week and joined classmate
Molly Jespersen in being named the Liberty league Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Aksdal-Jansen led the Saints over the weekend, winning the first singles flight at the Hamilton Invitational. The senior took a 6-0, 6-1 win against Bates' Isabella Saul, and a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Hamilton's Grace Qian on day one. Then on Sunday, with her third victory of the weekend, she won the first singles flight with a 6-0, 6-2 win versus William Smith's Haley Levine.Â
The senior tandem of Aksdal-Jansen and Jespersen took the number one singles flight at the Hamilton Invitational. They opened the invitational with a 6-1 victory against Bates' Isabella Saul and Avne Bakre, and in their second match of the day on Saturday, the duo defeated Hamilton's Grace Qian and Hannah Walpole, 6-3. They followed it up with their third win of the tournament on Sunday, a 6-1 victory over Grace Magana and Haley Levine of William Smith.
