The St. Lawrence University women's rowing team has been training hard and is eager to open the 2024-25 fall season on Sunday at the Mohawk Fall Classic Regatta.

With a core group of juniors and sophomores returning and a strong incoming class, the Saints are hoping to continue to build a strong foundation and build on the progress made last season.
After opening the season at the Mohawk Fall Classic Regatta this weekend, the Scarlet and Brown will make a trip to Rochester for the Head of the Genesee on October 12. The Saints will then travel to Cambridge, Mass. for the prestigious Head of the Charles before wrapping up the fall portion of their schedule at the Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs on October 26. After a chilly winter season in the North Country, the Saints will head for warmer weather for spring training before getting back on the water up North.

Juniors returning this season are

Madison Rizzo,
Abigail Smith and
Angie Vertullo.
Last season, Vertullo was awarded First-Team All-Liberty League accolades.
At the 2023-24 conference championships, the Saints' Varsity 8 placed third with a time of 7:28.417. In the finals, the Saints placed sixth with a final time of 7:40.143. St. Lawrence's 2V8 placed fourth in their heat, finishing with a time of 8:05.187. In the Petit Final, the Scarlet and Brown bested St. John Fisher by 27.766 seconds for the win.
