Gabe Ward shot a 155 and tied for 49th place to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team to a 14th-place finish at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury, at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course this weekend.
King shot a 77 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday, while Ward shot an 82 on Saturday and shaved nine strokes off his score for a 73 on Sunday to tie for 49th with five others out of a field of 120 golfers.
Sam Lyman finished the weekend with a 156 (81, 75) and dropped six strokes to tie for 56th, while
Ben Scholes tied for 81st with a 160 (77, 83) and
Ben DeBiase tied for 101st with a 166 (88, 78).
Hamilton claimed the team win with a combined 593 (300, 293) on the weekend. St. Lawrence finished the weekend with a 621 (317, 304), dropping 13 strokes on Sunday and tied Skidmore for 14th place.
The Continental's Ramon Aroca Gonzalez took the individual title with a 140 (70, 70).
