St. Lawrence Invitational Results
The St. Lawrence University men's golf team picked up its first win of the 2024-25 season and first-year head coach
Dave Clausen earned his first win at St. Lawrence, as the Saints combined to shoot a 602 (305, 297) on the weekend at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course.
Sophomore
Gabe Ward claimed second place as the tournament's runner up with a 147 (74, 73) on the weekend, while
Sam Lyman dropped 10 strokes from Saturday's round and shot three under par on Sunday to finish tied for third with a 148 (79, 69).
Ben Scholes dropped four strokes on Sunday and finished in a tie for eighth place with a 152 (78, 74), while
Jimmy King tied for 18th with a 155 (74, 81) and
Owen Donovan rounded out the winning team in 44th with a 169 (83-86).
St. Lawrence's 'A' squad took first, besting St. John Fisher by three strokes. The Cardinals placed second with a 605 (304, 301), while Clarkson took third with a 616 (302, 314). Clarkson's Ryan Makowski claimed the individual title with a 143 (72, 71).
The Saints 'B' squad finished in fifth with a 626 (305, 321) and the 'C' squad finished in ninth with a 665 (327, 338).
