The St. Lawrence University women's track and field team finished seventh overall after day two of the Liberty League outdoor track and field championship.
Alli Sibold had a third place finish, earning all-conference honors as an honorable mention in the 1500m with a time of 4:33.58. Between the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons, it is Sibold's third all-conference honor of the season.
Charlotte Blake also competed for St. Lawrence in the 1500m, scoring points in the event and setting a personal record with a time of 4:44.09.
Emma Palumbo also had a point-scoring performance in her event, recording a sixth-place finish in the 5000m race with a time of 18:09.75.
In the field, the Saints saw a career day from
Lacey Eckert in both the discus and the hammer throw. Eckert had a 37.23m toss in the discus throw. That goes down as a personal best, and a sixth overall finish. The result comes following another PR set by Eckert in the hammer throw on Friday.
Amelia Berthold competed for St. Lawrence in both the heptathlon and the high jump, scoring in the hep event with 2777 total points over the seven events. She recorded personal records in multiple events, with her best finish coming in the high jump. She placed third with a leap for 1.41m. Berthold also competed in the high jump event at the championship, placing eighth with a jump for 1.39m.
Saints who hit the AARTFC qualifying standard will now move on to the AARTFC championship, set for Wednesday, May 15 in Cortland, N.Y.
