No. 22 Men's Squash Falls 9-0 at No. 14 Western

Three Saints pushed their matches to four games, but the No. 22 St. Lawrence University men's squash team was swept 9-0 by No. 14 Western University on Monday afternoon in Ontario.

St. Lawrence fell to 0-4 with the loss, while Western improved to 3-5.

At number one, Liberty League Rookie of the Week Grégory Malsang won his opening game against Dylan Deverill to take the early edge. His opponent would rattle off three straight wins to take the match.

At two, Alexander Scott and Amin Khan went to a tiebreaker in the first game with Khan winning 13-11. Scott would claim the second game but two more wins from Khan secured the win.

Dean Brooker was the other Saint to win a game taking an early 1-0 lead against Jagroop Bhangoo, but he would ultimately fall 3-1.

The rest of the lineup would fall 3-0 in their matches.

The Scarlet and Brown will be off for the semester and will return to action on January 8 when the team heads to Geneva to take on Hobart.
