The St. Lawrence University women's tennis team dominated the day with 24 wins to open the St. Lawrence University Invitational at the Sammis Tennis Courts and the Newell Field House.
In the first round of singles, the Saints got off to a start with seven wins.
Angelica Aksdal-Jansen got the first win over the day 8-5 over Geneseo's Pipes, then
Ariane Karera took an 8-1 win over RIT's Jackie Drozd.
Elena Styliades took the other outdoor court win with an 8-0 victory over Geneseo's Rockwood. Â
On the indoor courts,
Meredith Macey took an 8-7 (3) win over RIT's Galkiewicz, while eon court two,
Maya Stepic took an 8-0 sweep Geneseo's DeRiso.
Abigail Sicuranza and first-year
Ellie Fritz also earned wins with Sicuranza winning 8-3 against RIT's Mills, and the first-year took her first collegiate win 8-5 over RIT's Finchum.
The Scarlet and Brown dominated all eight of their matches in round two going 8-0.
Molly Jespersen made up for a first-round loss with an 8-1 win over Geneseo's Rava. Aksdal-Jansen (8-7 (4)), Karera (8-1), Styliades (8-4), Macey (8-3), Stepic (8-0), Sicuranza (8-1), and Fritz (8-1) all doubled up with their second wins of the day.
The wins kept rolling in the first round of doubles where Aksdal-Jansen and Jespersen teamed up to beat Geneseo's Pipes and Rava 8-2 to open the round. Styliades and Sicuranza teamed up for an 8-4 win over RIT's Drozd and Murray, while Stepic and Macey took on RIT's Galkiewicz and Wood and won 8-5. St. Lawrence's

Alexandra Fuller took an 8-2 doubles win over Mills and Finchum, while first-years Fritz and Karera teamed up for an 8-0 win to close the opening doubles round.
In the final round of the day, doubles teams Jespersen/Aksdal-Jansen (8-5), Styliades/Sicuranza (8-7 (4)), Stepic/Macey (8-0), and Fritz/Karera (8-1) all earned their second doubles wins of the day.
