Yvette Karera took home the A draw in singles and teamed up with her sister
Ariane Karera to win the A draw in doubles to lead the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team at the Mary Hosking Invitational on the campus of William Smith College.
In the A singles draw, it was an all-Karera final as Yvette and Ariane both made it through the semifinals. Yvette advanced past
Elisa Iuri, while Ariane defeated Madeleine Sutro 8-6. Yvette took the final as Ariane retired due to injury.
In the C draw,
Sarah Oldland cruised to the final with an 8-1 win against Aiza Ahmed in the semifinals and was set up with a match against Lilly Caldwell. The senior Oldland took the draw with an 8-4 win in the final, her second draw victory in as many weeks.
In the A doubles draw, the Kareras took on Lauren Kallas and Noel Allen in the semifinals and won 8-4. In the final, they were tasked with Alys Pop and Ava Casell and won a hard-fought 9-8 (7-4) match to take the bracket.
In the B singles bracket, first-year
Callie Perrin advanced to the flight final, but fell in the match to end her run.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back on court on October 1 for the ITA Northeast Regionals.
