The St. Lawrence University women's golf team will open up the fall portion of the 2021-22 season with the St. Lawrence Invitational at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course this Saturday and Sunday.

The Saints will compete against Ithaca, Union, William Smith, SUNY Canton, NYU, SUNY Cortland, Nazareth, Utica and SUNY Canton during their home tournament.

"It should be a beautiful weekend for golf, we're just hoping the rain holds off on Sunday and we're all very excited to get the season started," said head coach Mary Lawrence. "After not fielding a women's team in the spring, we have a great group and we're excited to see the level of play brought to the course this season."

The women's squad will be led by seniors, Fiona Wang, Maggie Munschauer and Maria Fernanda Diaz and junior Hana Kusumi this fall.

After this weekend, the Saints head to Hamilton and Paul Smith's and will play three rounds versus neighboring SUNY Canton in the fall. The Saints will travel to Nazareth to close the fall season on October 9-10.
