The St. Lawrence University women's golf team opens the fall portion of the 2026-27 season with the St. Lawrence Invitational under third-year head coach Dave Clausen at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course this Saturday and Sunday.

Last season, the Saints took home the team title at SUNY Poly and were led by Sadie Cumming, who claimed the individual title. SLU wrapped up the 2025-26 season with a fifth-place finish at the Liberty League Championships. Cumming is currently studying abroad and will rejoin the Saints in the spring.

Seniors Ali Card and Chase Smith, juniors Cumming, Cora Hanson and Sami Phelan, and sophomore Nilla Ecklof make up the Saints squad this season.

Ecklof placed fourth at SUNY Poly last season and came in 23rd at the conference championships.

"We're really excited to get the season started at home this weekend," said Clausen. "We have a great group on the women's side. Nilla made a lot of progress during her first year and we're looking forward to seeing her develop during her sophomore campaign."

Following the Saints' home invitational this weekend, the Scarlet and Brown will play in the Union Fall Invitational (Sept. 19-20) and the SUNY Poly Invitational (Sept. 28). After a trip to some sunny weather in the spring, the Saints will play in the Trinity Spring Invitational (April 3-4), at Cortland's Martin/Wallace Invitational (April 10-11), and the Union Spring Invitational (April 24), before the hosting the Liberty League Championships at the Teugega Country Club in Rome, N.Y. on May 1-2.
