Heilbronner Leads The Way At Dutchmen Invitational

Sophomore Adam Heilbronner advanced to the "B" flight Singles finals, and the Saints won ten matches as the St. Lawrence men's tennis team competed at the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Union College on Saturday.

Heilbronner continued his great play this week with a 6-1, 6-3 first round win over Charlie Kilborn of Trinity in the "B" flight Singles. Helibronner took on Bailey McAtee of Union in the semifinal round winning 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the final. He will take on Ben Jacobs of Union tomorrow for the championship.

In the "B" flight doubles, the Scarlet and Brown saw two pairs advance to the semifinal round tomorrow. The duo of Ben Moolman and Edvin Strandberg swept their first-round match 8-0 to advance into tomorrow's semifinals, while John Hill-Edgar and Broderick Pinto won their matchup 8-3. If both duos win their semifinal matchup, they will meet in the championship round.

Strandberg (6-2, 6-2) and Pinto (6-4, 6-0) both advanced past the first-round in the "C" flight Singles but lost in their respective semifinal matchups. The teammates will face each other tomorrow for third place in the flight.

Nathan Turtledove, Cole Hamilton, and Kenden Aguilera each advanced to the finals in their respective consolation draws and each will battle for 5th place in their flights. Nico Haet will play for 7th place in the "A" flight.
