The St. Lawrence University Overwatch team rebounded from a tough loss in ECAC play last night with its third straight National Association of Collegiate Esports win on Thursday, dominating Glenville State College 3-0 in a match that took less than 30 minutes.

Emily Boswell (Cogitasne), Sam Putney (SputnikGT) and Jason Angelos (neonJason) earned Play of the Game honors for the Saints, who improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in NACE.

St. Lawrence dominated the match from the start, winning both rounds of the first point by 100-0 margins on the Ilios control point map, where Boswell earned Play of the Game honors.

The second point was held on the Dorado payload map. The Saints opened on defense and did not allow the Pioneers to reach the first checkpoint, then claimed a 2-0 lead by beating Glenville State's performance in a little over a minute. Putney earned Play of the Game honors for St. Lawrence.

The final point point was held on the Eichenwald assault map, and the Saints again opened on defense. They once again made their task easy with a strong hold, preventing Glenville State from even reaching the control point before claiming the final point of the match in just 43 seconds, with Angelos earning Play of the Game distinction.

"The team has had a great recovery tonight, showing a lot of discipline and dominance against GSC," said Saints Overwatch coach Kyle Jicha. "Fantastic plays as always by neonJason and SputnikGT, and an amazing DPS flex by Conitasne on Illios ruins. Very pleased and excited for next week's lineup."

St. Lawrence continues NACE play against Newberry College on Monday at 8 p.m.
