Tyler Burns and
Alex Terry of the No. 16 St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team were recognized as Inside Lacrosse DIII Preseason All-America Honorable Mentions, as announced by the league on Friday.
All three capped their junior season by earning Division III USILA/Warrior All-America honors, while Donnelly and Burns also earned IMLCA All-Region honors.
Donnelly led St. Lawrence with 46 goals and 20 assists for 66 points on the season. He ranked third in the Liberty League with 2.71 goals per game and sixth with 3.88 points per game. He also recorded two game-winning goals, four man-up goals, picked up 27 ground balls and caused three turnovers. His 46 goals on the season ranked seventh in the St. Lawrence record book for goals in a season.
Burns led the Saints with 33 caused turnovers, good for second in the league with 1.94 caused turnovers per game. Burns also picked up 27 ground balls, which ties for sixth on the Saints' squad, and scored one goal this season.
Terry, the Saints' starting goalkeeper, topped the conference and finished the year ranked fifth in Division III, with a 7.16 goals against average. He also ranked third in the league with a .557 save percentage and sixth with 8.65 saves per game. Terry caused 10 turnovers and closed the season with 56 ground balls, good for second in the Saints' lineup.
St. Lawrence, which was ranked 16th nationally in the US Lacrosse Magazine Division III preseason poll, will open the 2020 season against SUNY Potsdam on February 29 and will face off with seven teams either ranked or receiving votes in the preseason poll.
