The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team will open the second half of its schedule with games against the University of Connecticut and Colorado College as part of Dartmouth's annual Ledyard Classic at Thompson Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Puck drop for both games is set for 4 p.m.

QUICK HITS
• St. Lawrence is coming off a 3-1 conference loss to Clarkson earlier this month, with the Saints' lone goal coming from
Jake Stevens for his first tally of the year on the power play.

Bo Hanson extended his points streak to four games with an assist on the Stevens' tally at Clarkson and is the only player with a multi-game streak to start the second half.
• The Saints are 0-6-1 since their last win on November 9 when they came from behind at Union for a 3-2 victory in overtime on a goal by

• This weekend's games are the final non-conference contests of the season for the Saints. Two of their three wins to date have come against non-conference opponents, as they edged Mercyhurst 3-2 on opening weekend and shutout Bentley 3-0 to close out October.
• This is the second year in a row the Saints will face the UConn Huskies in a Holiday Tournament, as they also met at the Ice Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas. UConn won the first meeting of the series 6-3 in the Invitational's consolation game.
• St. Lawrence was plagued with injuries in the first half of the season, but there's potential for the team to return a number of players this weekend, including
Philip Alftberg, who may make his first appearance of the season after missing the entire first half while recovering from an offseason injury.

ABOUT CONNECTICUT
• UConn comes into the weekend having won four in a row after sweeping Miami (6-4, 4-3) and Vermont (3-2, 7-4). The team's last loss came to Providence on Nov. 23 (5-2).
• The Huskies are led by Jachym Kondelik who has a team-best six goals and 13 points, while Benjamin Freeman leads the team with nine assists and is second in scoring with 12 points.
• Kondelik also has the lone shorthanded goal of the season.
• Sophomore Tomas Vomacka has started all 16 games in goal this season and enters the weekend with a 7-6-3 record, 3.31 goals against average and .894 save percentage.
• Situationally, UConn is 5-0-1 when leading after two periods and 5-2-0 when scoring first.

LAST TIME OUT
• At last year's Ice Vegas Invitational, UConn jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first 9:13 of the first period en route to a 6-3 win.
• Six different players scored goals for the Huskies, while St. Lawrence got scoring from
Cade Gleekel,
Kaden Pickering and
Andrew McIntyre.
• Adam Huska made 22 saves for UConn, while Saints' goaltenders combined to stop 38.
Daniel Mannella, who finished with 20 saves, took the loss.

ABOUT COLORADO COLLEGE
• Colorado College enters the weekend looking to snap a two-game slide after being swept by Denver (0-3, 1-3) to finish out the first half of the season. The Tigers are 2-2 so far in December with a non-conference sweep at Princeton on Dec. 6-7.
• Chris Wilkie leads CC with a team-best nine goals and seven assists for 16 points, while Bryan Yoon leads the team in assists with eight.
• Nick Halloran, Bailey Conger and Christiano Versich each have a pair of power play goals for the Tigers so far this season.
• Matt Vernon has made nine starts and 10 appearances in goal and comes into the weekend with a 4-4-1 record, 2.91 goals against average and .918 save percentage.
• Ryan Ruck has made five starts and six appearances so far and brings a 2-3-0 record, 3.29 goals against average and .903 save percentage into this weekend's tournament.

THE SERIES WITH THE TIGERS
• St. Lawrence last played Colorado College in the 2003-2004 season and fell 2-1 to the Tigers on the road.
• Three of the five meetings in the series with Colorado College have come in the NCAA Tournament (1954-55, 1998-99, 2000-01).

ST. LAWRENCE IN THE LEDYARD CLASSIC
• This is the Saints' fifth appearance in the Ledyard Classic and first since the 2011-12 season.
• St. Lawrence has won two Ledyard Classic Championships - one in 1996 with behind a 3-2 win over host Dartmouth in the title game, and the other in 2011 with a shootout win over the Big Green following a 2-2 tie.
• The Saints join Northeastern and Boston College as two-time champs. Dartmouth leads the way in the history of the tournament with seven Classic titles.

• This weekend's games will be the fifth and sixth for St. Lawrence at Thompson Arena this calendar year.

• St. Lawrence is 5-1-2 in tournament games in the week between Christmas and New Year's since the 2000-01 season and has won the RPI Invitational (2000-01), the Ledyard Classic (2011-12) and most recently the Catamount Cup at Vermont (2017-18).
• The program's only loss during that stretch came to North Dakota in the championship game of the 2006 Ledyard Classic.
