The Skating Saints Announce 2026-27 Schedule Featuring Trips to Lake Placid and UBS Arena

Charles W. Appleton II head coach Brent Brekke, and the St. Lawrence University men's hockey team have announced their 2026-27 schedule that includes 12 non-conference games, an exhibition matchup against Maryville, the Adirondack Winter Invitational in Lake Placid at the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena, and the Empire State Holiday Invitational at UBS Arena over the Holidays.

The Skating Saints' season will begin on Laurentian Weekend on the campus of St. Lawrence University against Maryville. The teams will face off on Friday, October 2, at 7 p.m. in a non-conference tilt, before an exhibition matchup on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Saints will take to the road on October 9 to take on Providence before a contest against UMass Lowell the night after. The Scarlet and Brown will return home for a rare Tuesday game as the Saints will host the LIU Sharks at Appleton Arena on October 20.

ECAC play will begin thereafter on November 6-7 when St. Lawrence welcomes RPI and Union to Appleton Arena. Following a weekend trip to Colgate and Cornell, the team will head south to Lake Placid for the Adirondack Winter Invitational on November 27-28, where they will take on Merrimack and RIT in 4 p.m. games.

The Saints' December schedule will begin with a weekend trip to Quinnipiac and Princeton, then will roll into a home-and-home series against Vermont, where St. Lawrence will host the Catamounts on Thursday, December 10, before heading East to Burlington for a Saturday tilt.

Over the Holiday Break, the Scarlet and Brown will be making a trip to Long Island for the newly-formed Empire State Holiday Invitational, hosted by LIU and the New York Islanders. St. Lawrence will take on Ferris State on Monday, December 28, then will play either LIU or Army the day after.

After the calendar turns to 2027, the Saints will take part in their final non-conference games on January 2-3 when the team heads to Pittsburgh for a pair of games against Robert Morris.

The stretch run of 16 consecutive ECAC games will follow the weekend as the teams roll into the playoffs and eye a return to Lake Placid. Among games in the stretch is the Route 11 Rivalry on January 22-23, a pair of contests against the defending ECAC Champions in Dartmouth, and a four-game home stand against Cornell, Colgate, Princeton, and Quinnipiac.
