Leo Romanetz was the lone winner for the St. Lawrence men's tennis team in an 8-1 loss to Babson on Monday afternoon at the USTA National Training Center in Orlando, Florida.
Romanetz played to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 over the Beavers' Brandon Rosenbluth and also paired with
Eric Tecce in the Saints' most competitive doubles match at No. 1.
Tecce and Romanetz fell in a tiebreak, 9-8 (7-3), to Rosenbluth and Alberto De Mendiola.
Arman Tavana had pulled even with Ben Roque in their match at No. 6, rebounding from a 5-7 loss in the first set to win the second 6-3, but Tavana retired from the match before the decisive third set.
